Samsung Galaxy S10 5G Review
The Galaxy S10 5G is the largest, most sophisticated and most expensive
smartphone in Samsung's current ranks, aiming not only as "the 5G" but
also the best.
Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, which comes in a 4G or
5G version that is identical in size, weight and features, the S10 5G is
the cellphone itself. It's bigger, heavier, thicker and has more
cameras and sensors on the back and front than the S10 +.
The
front is filled with a 6.7-inch QHD + AMOLED screen, which is curved on
the side and has a large oval shaped chunk on the top right of the
screen for two selfie cameras and a depth sensor.
The screen is
really beautiful, as you would expect for a top Samsung: bright, clear
and colorful with a good perspective. It's not as bright or smooth as
the fantastic 90Hz screen on OnePlus 7 Pro, but it's better than the
others.
Reviews of Samsung galaxy s10 5G
The large screen means that the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is a very
large cellphone. With a width of 77.1mm and a height of 162.6mm, the S10
5G compares with 5G rivals such as iPhone XS Max 4G.
But the way the rear is tapered on the side and the relatively light
weight of 198g, which reduces competition by 8-10g, makes the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G
almost manageable. I can put it in a men's jeans pocket, but the smaller
one is the struggle.
The screen hides the Samsung ultrasonic
fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone with your thumb on the screen,
which works quite well but is not as fast or as accurate as the optical
sensor on the Samsung Galaxy S10 or traditional fingerprint sensor.
This
phone is waterproof to the international standard IP68, or a depth of
up to 1.5 meters in fresh water for 30 minutes. Drop Samsung Galaxy S10 5G in the
toilet and you can rinse it afterwards. It also has a headphone socket,
which is rare in 2019.

Samsung Galaxy S10 5G - Full phone specifications
The Galaxy S10 5G has the same processor, memory and storage as most other versions of the Galaxy S10 and therefore does the same thing. In the US this means a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, but in the UK, Europe and many other regions that means Samsung's Samsung Exynos 9820, as tested here.
This is a phone that feels fast, if not the fastest, and will handle most of what you can throw at it. Augmented reality games and experiences, which are pushed hard with 5G, are smooth but make the phone rather hot.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G has the largest battery on the Samsung S10 phone line and lasts the longest at 36 hours between charging. With the screen set to FHD + default resolution and the setting is always active (AOD) turned off, the phone makes it from 7am on the first day to 19:00 on the second day with quite heavy use, especially on 4G with bursts on the new Vodafone 5G network where available in London.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G also charges faster than other Samsung phones with the 25W charger included in the package. This reached 90% in an hour, which is still not the fastest charging cellphone but is a significant improvement compared to other Samsung devices. Up to 15W wireless charging with matt Qi charging works well, just as wireless sharing of other charging power from the back of the S10 5G like Samsung Galaxy Buds.

The S10 5G has proven to be great on Vodafone's new 5G network, which is significantly faster than 4G when available, routinely managing download speeds of 200Mbps in areas where Vodafone's 4G network is managed around 20-50Mbps.
